Meanwhile, Richard Webber is called upon by the hospital's board members to evaluate the current state of Grey Sloan Memorial and determine what steps need to be taken to ensure its future viability. As tensions rise between some of the doctors, Jo and Link's relationship hits a roadblock when he is offered a job in another city. Back at Seattle, the hospital prepares for their upcoming merger with Pacific Crest Medical Center, but there may be too much uncertainty for them to overcome.
